This was a dynamite audiobook。 Kim and Penn are able to share so much more of themselves。 The content was really good。 But the delivery was the icing on the cake。

This book was entertaining， informative and well written。 I haven’t been shy about being a Holderness Family video super fan， but if we are being honest I did not have high expectations for this book。 However， it’s a very good book about marriage。 I’m glad I read it and now I have to figure out how to convince my wife to read it

This is a book about self-respect and respecting others。You’ll relate more to some chapters than others， but the authors have something of value to share with everyone。Note: Even if you’ve never been in an intimate relationship， the first part of Everybody Fights can offer perspective when you have some sort of conflict with a friend。

Not sure how you make a book about fighting funny and fun but they did it。 Kim and Penn Holderness’ honest account of how they fight and how they work on it is a quick read with lots of useful bits。 It is well researched and includes citations to a host of experts。 Should be required reading for all newly weds。

I listened to this on Audible。 If you like the Holderness Family videos， you will enjoy their audio take on this book- Penn sings， they banter and laugh outside of the book text。 They also have some really good points about marriage and fights-

If you are a fan of Penn & Kim from their funny viral videos， you definitely want to listen to the audiobook on this one。 There are so many off the cuff conversations that veer from the text that add so much authenticity to the content。 This was a fun one with some great relational nuggets of wisdom。

4。5 stars。 It has a couple swear words， so that’s why it’s not a true 5 star read。 This is a great book， with valuable tips/strategies for better communication that can be applied to any relationship。 This is a book I see myself go back to time and time again。 I highly recommend it！

Everybody Fights by Kim and Penn Holderness is a great starting point if you’re looking to improve communication with your long-term partner。 This is not a book for relationships that need major repairs。 Kim and Penn Holderness are known for their hilarious parody videos on YouTube and being # couplegoals。 I enjoy their videos and the book description piqued my interest as I’m in a similar demographic， being married 10+ years with young kids。 They have written this book， part memoir/part self-he Everybody Fights by Kim and Penn Holderness is a great starting point if you’re looking to improve communication with your long-term partner。 This is not a book for relationships that need major repairs。 Kim and Penn Holderness are known for their hilarious parody videos on YouTube and being # couplegoals。 I enjoy their videos and the book description piqued my interest as I’m in a similar demographic， being married 10+ years with young kids。 They have written this book， part memoir/part self-help， largely with the help of their pastor who has counseled them over the years。 （FYI， there is very little reference to God， church， or faith。） Each chapter begins with a fight the couple has had and associated issues， whether it be a toxic style of argument （silent treatment， leaving， personal attack， etc。） and a common topic like division of domestic labor， finances， sex， preference for social outings， etc。 They go over what happened， what they learned， how they could do better， and ended with tips on communicating better and reflecting。 I found hearing the real-life examples of their fights so helpful and relatable。 Throughout the book they encourage the reader to dig deeper into their communication style and treatment of their partner。 A lot of the advice is fairly common sense， but so much of it many of us don’t regularly do。 Communicating clearly with our partners about our needs and actually listening to them and learning to argue and reflect in effective ways that garner better communication and future improvement。 I listened to the audiobook， which I would highly recommend。 They have great speaking voices and there are even some added musical numbers！ Thank you Thomas Nelson / W Publishing and NetGalley for providing this ARC。 。。。more

Thanks to NetGalley and W Publishing Group a part of Thomas Nelson for my ARC in exchange for my honest review。 This book was published March 30， 2021。 I wouldn’t normally turn to social media influencers for relationship advice but I think a ton of people will， due to their millions of followers。 What I did appreciate though was their honesty and vulnerability in sharing REAL fights and how they’ve worked to be better at fighting and ultimately better in their marriage。
